Lester Sealey Wiseman

Lester Sealey Wiseman of Mooresville passed away on June 22, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 31, 1940, in McDowell County, NC, to Cecil S. Wiseman and Emma Lou Holtsclaw. Lester had a successful career in the automobile industry, working in it for most of his life. He had a deep love for the North Carolina mountains and cherished many happy moments at his home in Linville. An avid animal lover, he enjoyed spending time with his horses and dogs. Lester was also passionate about sport fishing and scuba diving. One memorable adventure involved taking his daughters and nephew on a boat trip down the Intracoastal Waterway to Florida, fishing along the way. Additionally, he relished life by the lake at his home on Lake Norman.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Matthew Wiseman, brother Ernie Wiseman, and sister Peggy Bailey (Walt). He is survived by his sisters, Ann Sharpe of Statesville and Faye Pharr (William) of Greensboro, and his daughters: Leslie Fox (Dale) of Statesville, Natalie Wiseman of Asheville, Ashlie McNulty of Rock Hill, SC, and Hollie Yi (Charlie), also of Rock Hill. He leaves behind several grandchildren: Madison Wiseman, Sterling Cline, Hayden Cline, Lennon Yi, and Abby Yi, as well as two great-grandchildren, Ezra and Iris. Lester is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family plans to gather at a later date on Lake Norman to celebrate his life.
