Lee Allen Riddle, 92, of Statesville, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Lee was born January 26, 1934, in Iredell County to the late Thomas F. Riddle and Vivian Barkley Riddle. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his son. Barry Riddle; brothers, Alvin Riddle and Milton Riddle; and sister, Nancy Riddle Tucker.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Kenneth Riddle (Amanda); daughter, Vickie Mecimore (Jeffrey); daughter-in-law, Lynn Safety Riddle; brothers, Ted Riddle and Donald Riddle; sister, Edna Riddle Southers; grandchildren, Kristy Sipes (Andy), Timmy Mecimore (Camryn), Ben Riddle, Tommy Mecimore (Krystal), Jan Riddle, Salem Riddle, Julian Brown, Cyress Brown and Oscar Brown; great-grandchildren, Abbi Sipes, Landen Sipes, Logan Sipes and Mason Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 14, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Crider and Pastor Terry Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13 at Troutman Funeral Home.

Arrangements for Mr. Riddle are in the care of Troutman Funeral Home.
