Laura Denise Marlowe

Laura Denise Swint Marlowe, age 56, of Statesville, passed away peacefully at Gordon Hospice House on Friday, July 17, 2026, after a brief illness due to health complications. Born in Indiana on June 11, 1970, she was the wife of the late Lesley Marlowe and the daughter of the late Lynn Swint and Brenda Langley Milligan. She was retired from Walmart where she worked as an accountant. Laura was passionate about her grandchildren and loved the beach, shopping and the Tazmanian Devil.

She is survived by one son, Brenden (Hayley) Childers; one daughter, Heather Fulbright; her grandchildren, Carissa Fulbright, Addilynn Fulbright, Harlan Fulbright, Liberty Arndts, and Gabriel Higgins; and her cherished pets, Molly and Oakley.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Laura was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth “Kenny” Swint.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Troutman Funeral Home. Rev. John Parks will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given in Laura’s memory to the Scoliosis Research Society 555 E. Wells St. Suite 1100 Milwaukee, WI 53202-3823.
