Larry Preston Dishmond

Larry Preston Dishmond, 67, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Larry was born August 12, 1958, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Robert Dishmond. Jr. and Ruby York Dishmond. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School.

A native of North Carolina, Larry grew up in Love Valley, NC where he and his family farmed tobacco. He spent most of his career as a salesman in the industrial and medical/testing industries, as well as owning his own industrial supply business in Troutman, NC and Service Station in Boone, NC. As a fan of the Carolina Tarheels, Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys, Larry was an avid sports fan and lover of competition.

Left to cherish Larry’s memory are his sons, Jeremy Dishmond and Colby Dishmond (Courtney); granddaughter, Chandler Dishmond; sisters, Barbara Pardue and Kathy Goforth; brother, Richard Dishmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
