Kenneth Venston Jones

Kenneth Venston Jones, of Troutman, NC, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. Born in Bryson City, NC, along with 10 siblings, Kenneth was the son of the late Carl Jones and Nanny Bailey Jones.

He was married to his wife, Mildred Ann Sutton Jones, who preceded him in death. Kenneth worked at Kewaunee and retired after 45 years. He faithfully attended Bright Light Baptist Church and Houston Road Baptist Church. He was a kind and humble man that would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Kenneth loved to garden, mow his yard and visit his hometown in the mountains whenever possible.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Randy Jones (Deloris), of Statesville; granddaughter, Savannah Jones (Tracey Lawing, mother); step grandchildren, Ashley Myers and Zachary Calhoun; great grandchildren, Addilyn, Olivia, and Abygale.

A memorial service will be held, Friday, November 1, 2024, at 12:00 pm, noon at Troutman Funeral Home to celebrate the life of Kenneth and Mildred Jones.
