Kathryn (Black) Conrad

Kathryn Black Conrad, 89, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, February 18, 2019 at Davis Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Conrad was born September 15, 1929 in Statesville, NC and was the daughter of the late Marvin Black and Mabel Sherrill Black. She was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and attended Mitchell College and High Point College. She was married to the late Henry Eugene Conrad, who passed away in 1993 and she was a bookkeeper for the Conrad Company. She was a member of the Statesville Book Club, was an accomplished Bridge Player, playing in six different Bridge Clubs and she also loved her three grandchildren.

Mrs. Conrad is survived by one daughter, Melissa C. Stoppler and husband, Hubert of Foster City, CA and three grandchildren, Johannes Stoppler, Anna Stoppler and Tilman Stoppler all of California.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Broad Street UMC in Statesville with Rev. Dr. May John Dye officiating. Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service.
