Kathryn Rudisill Bowen

July 28, 1967 - August 8, 2014 Kathryn "Kathy" Rudisill Bowen, 47, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014. She was born in Iredell County on July 28, 1967 to Robert and Sheila Rudisill. She was a loving mother and daughter. But she was more than a mother to her children and more than just a daughter to her parents. She was courageous, thriving, independent, hard working, gentle, loving, wild and joyful. There are twenty-six letters in the alphabet and we still can't find the words to describe how amazing she was. Kathy was an inspiration to all and will forever live on in our hearts. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Ashley; son, Jacob; brother, Rudy and wife, Gayle; a number of nieces and nephews including Amy and Jason Holt, Kristy and Jeff Conaway, Jamie and Jody Overby and Robin and Adam Hooper. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman with the Rev. Dieter W. Punt officiating. Interment will follow the service at 4:00 p.m. in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Troutman. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service in the Fellowship Hall of Holy Trinity. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made for a trust fund to be established for Ashley and Jacob’s college expenses.
