Katherine (Bustle) Beasley

Katherine Bustle Beasley, 74 of Statesville passed away at Iredell Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, following a period of declining health.  Katherine was born on July 14, 1949, to the late Ruben Carl Bustle and Della Jordan Bustle

A graduate of North Iredell High School, she held several different jobs including Burlington Industries, Runn Inn Foods, Sara Lee, The 1st RX Grill and McDonalds.  Katherine returned to Wilkes Community College at the age of 58 and obtained her Culinary Arts degree. She loved making cakes, catering for weddings, working in her yard, and spending time with her family.  She was well known as “Ms. Beasley the cake lady”, however her most important role and name was Grandma / Mamaw.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bernie Michael Beasley, her son Brain Dale Goodin and her brother Virgil Bustle.  Katherine is survived by her daughter Kim Goodin: her son Jasper Rupard: her brother Donald Bustle (Viola): her grandchildren Landyn and Paige. Bonus grandchildren Luke, Brandon, Austin, Daniela, Gabriel, Victoria, and Nicolas: numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday April 5, 2024, at Troutman Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Saturday April 6, 2024, at Taylor Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Ray Williams.  The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
