Karen Nicole Church Mayhew

Karen Nicole Church Mayhew, 40, of Advance, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Karen was born March 29, 1985, to Mac Austin Church and Debora Steele Church. She graduated from North Iredell High School and continued her education at Mitchell, Rowan Cabarrus and Catawba Valley Community Colleges. She attended Hebron Baptist Church.

Karen was a loving daughter, wife and mother. She was a very caring person and loved all people and animals.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, husband, Andrew Mayhew; son, Peyton Mayhew; mother-in-law, Sharon Barnette; father-in-law, David Mayhew (Gloria); and fur baby, Esther.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Martha Church; maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Edith Steele; and fur baby, Chapple.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Johnson officiating. She will lie in state prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hebron Baptist Church or Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County.
