Judy Compton Watt

March 31, 1951 - February 6, 2018 Judy Mae Compton Watt, 66, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Judy was born on March 31, 1951 in Iredell County to the late Calvin Coolidge Compton and Sue Morrison Compton. Judy worked at Thomasville Upholstery and was a waitress at Captain’s Galley of Statesville for over 25 years. Judy had a kind and generous heart and loved talking to people. She also loved the beach, her family, and especially adored her two granddaughters. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Penny (Brian) St. John; sister, Susan (Harry) Sampsell; brothers, Ron (Brenda Gail) Compton and Gary Compton, and two granddaughters, Amber St. John and Ashlie St. John. The family will receive friends at Charis Community Church on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian St. John and Rev. Michael Benfield officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
