Judy Elaine (Dancy) Mcalister

Mrs. Judy Elaine Dancy McAlister, 70 of Troutman, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at her home.

Mrs. McAlister was born in Mooresville, NC, on October 26, 1952.  She was the daughter of the late Ray Gilmer Dancy and Bertha Lucille Finney Dancy.  Judy attended Mooresville High School and worked for Hoechst Celanese in Salisbury.  She was a member of Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church, she loved to cook for her family and make costume jewelry in her free time.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Those left to cherish Judy’s memory, include her husband of 53 years, Milton McAlister, her son Archie McAlister, daughter Cynthia Elaine McAlister (Steve), her “God given daughters” Sara Bordes and Tarita Margarethia, her grandchildren, Madyson Elaine Dunford, Tina Benfield, Angelo Benfield, and Virginia Benfield.

The family will greet friends on Sunday evening, August 6, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, in Ostwalt Hall at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church.  A celebration of life will be conducted Monday, August 7, 2023, 1:00 pm at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church, 108 Emmanuel Road, Troutman, NC 28166, Pastor Trent Patterson, and Pastor Marty Benfield will officiate.
