Judith Camp Fallaw Edwards,88, died on August 16,2026 in Statesville, N.C.

Judy was born to Grace Elizabeth Dean Fallaw and Thomas Howard Fallaw on June 7,1938 in Bellamy, Alabama. She grew up in Norcross and Atlanta, Georgia. She was a graduate of North Fulton High School and attended the University of Georgia.

On December 20,1956 she married Theodore Louis Edwards. They remained married for 64 years until Ted’s death in March of 2020.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, reading and genealogy, her extended family and friends.

She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Statesville and a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Edwards Hunnicutt, of Black Mountain, NC and daughter Judith Edwards Smith (Bryan) of Naples, Florida as well as son James Woodson Edwards (Faith) of Sierra City, California and son Thomas Bryant Edwards of Sausalito, California. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Matthew Boggs and Marshall and Bryson Smith (Blake); James, Jack and Isabel Edwards; Grace and Elizabeth Hunnicutt; along with great grandchildren, Byrdie and Barron Smith. Her brother, John Fallaw of Jacksonville, Florida, also survives as well as her niece Katherine Anderson Leslie and nephews Lee and John Anderson.

The Reverend Marcy Svoboda Doak will officiate the graveside service, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville, NC.
