Joshua Stephen Myers

Joshua “Catman” Stephen Myers, 29, of Harmony, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Josh was born November 15, 1995, to Rev. Terry Myers and Laurie Mantysaari Myers, who survive. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School, and he earned an associate’s degree from Florence Darlington Technical College. He worked for Carolina Tractor, King Machinery, FXR Pro Fish and Mid Atlantic Catfish Company. He was a member of Cat’n on the Yadkin, Lake Norman Catfish Series, Lake Norman Mastercatters, Big Cat Brawl and The Crusty Crew. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and riding dirt bikes.

Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Ann Adams.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 7 years, Lena Kennedy Myers; his daughter, Teagan Myers; sister, Brittany Myers, brother, T.J. Myers; nieces, Sara and Addison; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Sylvia Myers; aunts, Alisa Mantysaari and Kimberly Parker; uncles, Rusty Myers (Lisa) and Brian Myers; as well as several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday, November 2, at Yadkin Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Crider, Rev. Michael Bowers, Rev. Terry Myers and Rev. Allen Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in the Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Josh Myers Education Fund for his daughter, Teagan, at New Hope Baptist Church, 149 New Hope Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
