Jonie Marie (Winebarger) Dugger

Jonie Marie Winebarger Dugger, 38, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Jonie was born May 14, 1985 in Iredell County to Rex Allen Winebarger (Ramona) and the late Shirley Meadows Winebarger. She was a graduate of West Iredell High School, class of 2004 and on March 18, 2011 she married Cory Dugger, who survives. Jonie never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need.

In addition to her husband and father, Jonie is survived by a son, Joseph Dugger (Allison), two sisters, Stephanie Roark, Christina Thornburg (Chris), one brother, Brandon Winebarger; two nieces, Makayla and Addison and her grandfather, James “Bud” Winebarger.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Troutman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at South River Baptist Church Cemetery.
