Johnnie Michael Lewis

Johnnie Michael Lewis, 76, of Harmony, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Johnnie was born on March 3, 1948, in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Clennon Joseph Lewis and Margie Campbell Lewis. He was a graduate of Cool Spring High School and Mitchell College. Johnnie was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and retired from BECO as a machinist. He enjoyed beach fishing and golfing. Johnnie proudly served in the US Army.

In addition to his parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Joseph Lewis.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Rick A. Lewis (Margaret), niece, Bridgett L. Lippard (Danny), nephews, Colby Allen Lewis (Ginny), Tyler Jordan Lewis (Ali) and Wesley Lewis. Also surviving are his great nephews, Cole Lippard, Dillon Lewis, Nash Lewis, Teague Lewis, Truett Lewis and great niece, Emma Lewis.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Troutman Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm. Reverend John Parks will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House at 2341 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
