John Booth "Bo" Talbert

August 14, 1969 - January 11, 2017 John Booth Talbert, affectionately known as "Bo", 47, of Troutman, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 after battling a courageous fight with cancer. Bo was born on August 14, 1969 in Mooresville, N.C. He loved sports and was a talented expert at shooting pool. Bo will always be remembered for being a loving son and father. Bo was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Cook Sr.; maternal grandparents, Marvin Thomas and Lillian Kiker; paternal grandparents, James & Elizabeth Talbert; and his sister, Barbara Renee Talbert. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Thomas Cook; son, Christian Daniel Talbert; sisters, Dawne (Mike) Michelle Justice and Pamela (Tyrone) Cook Moore; brothers, Jeffrey (Cathy) David Shue, Thomas Cook Jr., and James Cook. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church, located at 108 Emmanuel Road in Troutman, with Rev. Trent Patterson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bo’s memory may be made to Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church, 438 Ostwalt Amity Road, Troutman, NC 28166. Troutman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Bo.
