John James Mazag, 53, of Troutman, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center.

John was a loving, caring, selfless person who was totally devoted to his family. He dearly loved his wife, Shelley Medich Mazag; mother and father in law, Charlene (George) Medich; brother in law, Mark (Alisa) Medich; favorite niece and godchild, Payton Medich; daughter, Taylor; son, Zachary; mother, Maureen; brothers, Joe and Jim; and other friends and family too numerous to name and they all absolutely loved and admired him in return. He will be truly missed by all including his granddog he loved so much, Manning James Mazag.
John was an avid Michigan fan who enjoyed basketball, biking, camping and hiking. But of all these things, being with his family was the dearest to him.
