John Samuel Hudspeth

Sept. 23, 1929 - Feb. 24, 2015 Due to inclement weather, funeral services for Mr. Hudspeth have been postponed until Friday, February 27 at the same times as previously planned. Mr. John Samuel Hudspeth, 85, formerly of Statesville, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2015. He was born in Iredell County to the late Mary Darr and Samuel Gaither Hudspeth. He was retired from Scioto, Inc. where he was a foreman. He is survived his wife, Edna Baucom Hudspeth, of Statesville; sister-in-law, Willie Furr, of Albemarle; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Hudspeth and sisters, Carleen Crouch and Charlotte Mayberry. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February, 27, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Statesville. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Beau Mills and the Rev. Frank Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow the service in Iredell Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O.
