Joe Haithcox

Joe Thomas Haithcox, 91 of Olin passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.  Joe was born in Iredell County on December 13, 1933, and was the son of Hugh and Lula Haithcox.  He graduated from Cool Springs High School and was a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church and worked for General Electric Company as a machinist.

Joe was preceded in death by brothers, Fred, Roy Lee, James and Benny Haithcox and sisters, Rachel Holland and Nancy Davidson.  Left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces, nephews and stepdaughter, Paula McConnell.

The family would like to thank his caregivers at Rosewood Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Union Grove Methodist Church with David Hamlyn officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-3pm at the church prior to the funeral.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Union Grove Ruritans Club at P.O. Box 93 Union Grove, NC 28689
