Jocelyn Bartholomew Sugimoto

Jocelyn Bartholomew Sugimoto, 80, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Jocelyn was born on May 27, 1945, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Rev. Dr. Alfred C. Bartholomew and Joyce Studenmond Bartholomew. She graduated from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.

Jocelyn worked at the Statesville Family YMCA for 30 years as a water fitness instructor.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mamoru Sugimoto; daughters, Masako Sugimoto and Mitsuko Sugimoto; and grandson, Yuuki Aydan Burns.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
