Joanne Phillips Lancaster, 76, of Troutman, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center.
She was born on January 6, 1941 in Mullins, S.C. to the late Pelton and Mamie Phillips.
Joanne was a retired hostess from Big Daddy’s of Lake Norman. She loved gardening flowers and spending time on the lake. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, as well as her sweet dog, Sally. Most of all she loved her Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Lancaster; four brothers, and three sisters.
Joanne is survived by her daughter, Angela (Sammy) Black; son, Andy (Cheryl) Arnette; sister, Annie Blanton; and two grandchildren, Brandon Arnette and Maggie Lancaster. Her memory will be cherished by all.
The family will receive friends at Fallstown Baptist Church on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 with Rev. Dr. David Troutman officiating. The private committal will immediately follow the service at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery for immediate family only.
