Joan Glivar Porozynski

Joan Catherine Glivar Porozynski, 78, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at her home.

Joan was born on February 19, 1948, to the late Joseph and Irene Glivar.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was always there for those she loved. She was a wonderful cook and a caring homemaker who found great joy in taking care of her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wesley Porozynski; daughter, Patricia Palmer (Jeff); son, Matthew Porozynski; daughter, Melissa Woodward (Lynn); and grandchildren, Maribeth Taylor Porozynski, Matthew Wesley Porozynski II, Cameron James Palmer, and Meghyn Brooke Woodward. Joan is further survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Porozynski, and three sisters.
