Joan (Dittman) Grimes

Joan Dittman Grimes, 82, of Statesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Joan was born on June 2, 1941, in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Richard F. Dittman and Elizabeth Schlenk Dittman. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she grew up, and later moved to Fairfax, Virginia. Joan retired from NALC as a claims representative and was a member at St. Philips Catholic Church. She loved gardening, flowers and shopping.

Those left to cherish the memory of Joan include her two daughters, Vicki L. Miller (Robert), Kathy M. Harvey, brothers, Richard Dittman (Jayne) and Roger Dittman (Joyce). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Makayla Maffucci, Erica Miller, Madison Harvey and great granddaughter, Aubrey Maffucci.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
