Jim Scally

August 16, 1966 — September 25, 2014

Aug. 16, 1966 - Sept. 25, 2014 James (Jim) Scally joined the angels on Thursday, September 25th, 2014 and crossed over to his eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His earthly struggles and suffering came to an end. Jim was born August 16, 1966 to Robert (Bob) and Patricia (Pat) Scally who survive. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, class of 1984. He worked with his father and brother, Michael, in the family HVAC business and was a first class electrician as well as an excellent Heating and Air conditioning Technician. Jim relocated to Troutman, NC in November of 1995 to join SHA Mechanical where he was employed until 2006. Jim was further survived by his grandmother, Edna Elizabeth Scally; his brother, Michael and wife, Shari; their children, Charlie, Matthew and Sarah; sisters, Theresa and Janice Scally; Janice’s son, Tyler; and a host of relatives in the VA and MD area. His passion was fly fishing and tying flies. His perfect weekend was spent on the New River in his kayak, with waders on and camera ready for the next big score before the catch and release. Jim loved his family and his "adopted family "in Troutman, his Sunday school class and church family. His family wishes to thank all those who helped him in the Troutman and Statesville area, especially Steve and Kathy Cash, Keith and Tracy Potts, Patty Broderick, Charlie King, his church family at Troutman Baptist and fellow workmen. A receiving of family and friends will be held Tuesday, September 30th from 6-8:00 p.m. at the home of Keith and Tracy Potts, 350 Murdock Road, Troutman, N.C. 28166. A memorial service and burial will be scheduled for a later date in Manassas, VA.
