Jim Malzi

James “Jim” Eugene Malzi, Jr., 63, of Stony Point, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Jim was born August 21, 1961, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late James Eugene Malzi, Sr. and Geraldine Anderko. He was a graduate of Bishop McCort High School and Saint Francis University. He was a partner at Gantt Malzi & Associates CPAs for many years. In his free time, Jim enjoyed hunting and playing golf with his son and friends.  He loved spending time with friends and family at his home, where everyone was welcome, and laughter was a guarantee.

Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife of 36 years, Joanne Louise Lydic Malzi; son, James Robert Malzi (Whitney) of Hickory, NC; daughter, Lindsey McKendree (Brian) of Johnstown, PA; grandson, Oscar McKendree; brothers, Mark Malzi (Laura) and Kent Malzi, Sr. (Laurie); sister, Michele Baker (Brad); special friends Jim Fobare, Ben and Alicia Conklin and family. Jim is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and colleagues.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
