Jerry Wall Williams

Mr. Jerry Wall Williams, 67, of Statesville, beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 23, 2019.

He was born July 20, 1951 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Jeff and Eva Wall Williams. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School and on April 3, 1999, he married Bonnie Cline Williams. He grew up in Harmony, NC working at his uncle’s service station at 10 years old and later worked at JP Stephens while in high school. Most of working career was with Wayne Dobbs building chicken houses all over Iredell and surrounding counties and later retired from Purina Mills.

He was a member of South River Baptist Church, belonging to the Cornerstone Sunday School class. He loved going to church and his pastors, Dr. Chris Thompson, Pastor Scott, Pastor Steven and Pastor Chris Pawley. He loved to welcome people to the church and also be an usher.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Bradley Williams, one daughter, Lynda Cozart (Rodney), five grandchildren, Samantha and Chase Cozart, Haley, Hunter and Levi Williams, all of whom he loved so much. He is further survived by two sisters, Norma Love (Roy), Ann Everidge (Tony), one brother, Ricky Williams and several nieces, nephews and very close friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Stevens and his beloved dog, Jakie.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at South River Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Thompson and Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 pm.
