Jerry Walker

Jerry Eugene Walker, 90, of Statesville, passed away on November 21, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Jerry was born in Albertville, Alabama, on September 9, 1934, to the late John H. Walker and Jeanette Hawkins Walker.

He was a graduate of Athens High School, served in the United States Army, and later attended the University of Georgia. He worked as a supervisor for 42 years for General Times, which later became Dimetrics.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Walker.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Joan Aleta Barnett Walker; son, Terry Walker of Statesville; daughter, Pam Williams (Tony) of Mooresville; grandson, Cheston Williams of Mooresville; granddaughter, Ashley Burleson (Adam) of Bostic; sister, Delores Stone of Swanee, Georgia; and two nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 25, at Iredell Memorial Gardens, officiated by Brad Treece.
