Jerry St. John

March 16, 1944 - June 15, 2017 Jerry Allen St. John, 73, of Statesville, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Gordon Hospice House. Jerry was born on March 16, 1944 in Iredell County to the late Stoy Lee and Irene Eades. He was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School. Jerry worked as an electrician his whole life and loved to work on old vehicles. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Brenda Benfield St.John; sons, Brian (Penny) St. John and Eric (Sasha) St. John; sister, Linda (Bob) Dunn; brother, Richard ( Peggy) St. John; and six grandchildren, Austin (Amber) St. John; Amber St. John, Kirkland St. John, Ashlie St. John, Audrianna St. John; and Jeshua St. John, all of whom loved and will dearly miss him. A visitation will be held shortly prior to the service at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Charis Community Church, 316 Sharon School, Statesville 28677.The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Benfield officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Beulah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. St. John’s memory may be made to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28725.
