Jerry David Bowles

Jerry David Bowles, 77, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Meadowbrook Heath and Rehabilitation in Salisbury.

Jerry was born June 6, 1948, in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late Cyrus Bowles and Maxine Lambert Bowles. He was a coal miner and a great family man who dearly loved his family.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacie Bowles; brothers, James, Leon and Barry Bowles; and a sister, Paula B. Trujillo.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 52 years, Carol Addair Bowles; sons, David Bowles (Elizabeth), Scott Bowles and Jason Bowles; brothers, Danny Bowles (Sandy), Timmy Bowles (Maria) and Brian Bowles; sisters, Patricia B. Everett, Pamela B. Akers (Paul) and Marsha B. Sweeney (Ray); grandchildren, Austin, Reagan and Nevaeh Bowles; and great-grandchild, Avery Swarbrick.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 23 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.
