Jeretta Ann "Teenie" Millsaps

Jeretta Ann “Teenie” Milsaps, 79, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Teenie was born on May 13, 1946, in Iredell County to Robert and Mary “Tootsie” Millsaps. Teenie was a graduate of Central High School, and she worked in retail and as a manager at Homer’s Truckstop. Teenie was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother and sisters.

In addition to her parents, Teenie was preceded in death by her son, Mark Ashley and her brothers, Tony and Terry Millsaps.

Teenie is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ashley; son, Shannon Ashley (Sherry); sisters, Lisa Woody (Bobby) and Karen “Fefe” Johnson; granddaughters, Grace McGinnis (Zach), Emily Ashley and Trinity Swink.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 3 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis White officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (Love Valley) The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
