Jeffrey E. Moss

Jeffrey E. Moss, 63, passed away on Monday, May 25 at the Gordon Hospice House. Jeff had been suffering from the effects of heart attacks and strokes for several years.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Moss of Concord and sister, Jill Moss Morrow (Craig) of Statesville. He is also survived by his niece, Melissa Barnette (John), great nephews, Parker Barnette and Alex Barnette, and special friends, Robert and Kelly.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Arnold E Moss, paternal grandparents, Roy and Alma Moss, maternal grandparents, Charles and Viola Malcolm, and wife, Janet C. Moss.

Jeff was born in Cabarrus County on April 3,1963, to Shirley M. Moss and Arnold Moss. He was beloved and his arrival was celebrated by his family, except his sister Jill. She was not enjoying his arrival and wanted her mother and father to send him back.

He graduated from Concord High School (go Spiders) in 1981. Thank you to his best friend Richard Rogers who helped him create mischief wherever they went.

After graduating he went into the Air Force and started a career that took him all over the USA. He was a proud veteran and supported the military charities until his death.

Upon his discharge, he met and married the love of his life, Janet Moss. They spent many happy years together until her death in 2024.

He loved to take things apart and put them back together, as was evident from the projects left on his drafting table.

Jeff was loved by many as he made friends wherever he was. We will miss him terribly, but we will see him again one day!
