Jasper "Jt" James (Jr.) Tedder

Jasper “JT” James Tedder, Jr., 82, of Hiddenite, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Gordon Hospice House.

JT was born on August 18, 1941 in Iredell County to the late Jasper James Tedder, Sr. and Elizabeth Kirkman Tedder and later married Dorothy Mills Tedder. JT retired from the Army and was a truck driver for Greyrock. He was a member of Calvary Community Church and loved music and playing the guitar and piano.

In addition to his parents, JT was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Rigby and his brother, Garland Tedder.

Those left to cherish the memory of JT are his wife, Dorothy Mills Tedder of 60 years, his children, Lorie Evans (Kyle Brock), Anthony Tedder, Jackie Douglass (Justin Douglass), and his grandsons, Zachary Evans, Nicholas Evans, Camren Douglass, and Colten Douglass.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 on Tuesday, March 26 at Oakwood Cemetery with full military honors and will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Coley. The family will meet with friends following the service at the graveside.
