Jason Alexander Lamberth, 93, of Statesville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Jason was born March 9, 1932, in Wilkes County, to the late James Pinkney Lamberth and Nora Bennett Lamberth. He was a member of Southview Baptist Church and was the owner of Jason’s House of Music in downtown Statesville for 40 years. After retirement, he continued his luthier business, servicing “strings” and “necks” for musicians from all across the country. Family would never know who might be standing in the shop. His musical influences reached far and wide throughout the country, and Jason was lovingly known as the guitar man.
In addition to his parents, Jason was preceded in death by his son, Jason Darryl Lamberth, brothers, Kinley Lamberth, Otto Lamberth, Bryant Benfield, Gene Benfield and J.D. Lamberth, and sisters, Marie Mills, Vera Robinson, Ruth Smithy, Viola Karriker, Ethel Payne, Dorothy Gwaltney and Bonnie Malboeuf.
Those left to cherish Jason’s memory are his beloved wife of 74 years, Carol Little Lamberth; daughter, Donna Lamberth; son, Kevin Lamberth (Debbie); grandchildren, Chris Lamberth (Brandy), Sara Wingler (Scott), Andrew Deverick (Hailey), Alex Deverick (Rebecca), Chris Tucker, Sara Barrios (Nick), Matthew Lamberth (Jessica), Missy Lamberth; and twelve great grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 1 at Troutman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 2 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Coley officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martins Cemetery on Wallace Springs Road, Statesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Pointe Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
