Janice (Tutterow) Allie

Statesville

Janice Tutterow Allie, 86 of Statesville, passed Monday, February 20, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Allie was born in Davie County, October 14, 1936, the daughter of the late William Floyd Tutterow and Clara Mae Vanzant Tutterow.  Janice was a graduate of Statesville High School, Mitchell College, High Point College, and Appalachian State University with a master's degree in education.  She taught at Amity Hill Elementary and West Iredell Middle School before her retirement.  Janice was a member of Lakeside Fellowship ARP Church in Mooresville, Statesville Archeology Club, and numerous other organizations.  She was an avid Statesville High School Greyhound fan, she enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting, reading, and traveling.   On April 18, 1981, she was married to Don Allie who survives.

In addition to her parents Janice was preceded in death by her sister, Corinne Alley and brothers-in-law, Jim Alley and Bill Aiken.

Those left to cherish the life and memory of Janice Allie, include her husband Don, her children, Donna Adams and Daughn Baker, her grandchildren, Brandon Adams (Helen), Emberly Parker (Will), and William “Will” Parker, great grandchildren, Lyla Adams, Liam Rutledge, sister Brenda Aiken, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving friends.

The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Iredell Hospice and Palliative Care for their guidance, support and care provided through our family’s time of need.  Special thanks to Laura, Crystal, Shauna, Aaron, Michelle, and Frank.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 17, 2023, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Aaron Macemore and Rev. Gene Aiken officiating.  The family will speak with friends following the service.  Online condolences may be made to the Allie family at www.troutmanfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gordon Hospice House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Samaritan’s Purse, or the Gideons International.
