James "Jim" Francis Doohan, Jr

James "Jim" Francis Doohan, Jr, 81 of Mooresville, NC passed away on November 22, 2023 after a long battle with cancer and COPD. Born on September 27, 1942 in Rochester, NY, Jim had a profound effect on all who knew him.

He graduated from East High School in 1960. After graduating, Jim spent time serving in the Army. Most of his life was spent in the beverage business, both in Rochester NY and Watertown NY. He started out as a salesman and eventually owned his own distributorship. He also worked in transportation with the NYSDOCCS. Jim was proud of his Irish heritage and spent many years volunteering at the Irish Festival while living in Watertown. Jim ended up moving to North Carolina for the remainder of his life.

Jim is survived by his loving friend, Elizabeth "Betsy" Harding, his son Kevin Doohan, his wife Jennifer and granddaughter Kate. He is also survived by his daughter Maureen Doohan, granddaughter Maiya and sister Derena Turner.
