James Allen Edmiston, Jr

James Allen Edmiston, Jr., 82, of Troutman, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at his home.

Jim was born on August 22, 1942, in Iredell County and was the son of the late James Allen Edmiston, Sr. and Allie Gray Douglass Edmiston. He was a retired educator in the Iredell County School District.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Edmiston; son, Doug Edmiston (Dede); stepson, Sam Wilson (Robbie); grandchildren, Blake Bowles, Jimmy Edmiston (Molly), Janie Edmiston and Charlie Edmiston; sisters, Mary Tolbert (Carl) and Ethel Mercer (Ron). Also left to cherish his memory are his special friends; Mike and Diana Hill, Lois Gonzalez, Kay Robbins, Pam Bumgarner and Paula Zahm.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Bowles and sister, Anne Edmiston.

A private Edmiston family memorial service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County at 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625 or to the Troutman Fire Department at 125 N. Main St, Troutman, NC 28166.
