James Clarke

James “Jim” Edward Clarke Jr, 79 of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Jim was born on August 19, 1945, and was the son of the late James E. Clarke and Anna Brown Clarke. He was a graduate of East Paterson Memorial High School in New Jersey.  He served in the United States Navy as an IC Electrician on the USS Telfair APA – 210.  Before he retired, he worked for Timken in Iron Station.  He loved doing yard work, and odd jobs around the home. He enjoyed NASCAR and football and going to the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Donna D. Clarke, and Bother, Lawrence (Larry) H. Clarke.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Amy Voss (Lanny) and their children, Kylan, Valery Chapman (Zack), Casey, daughter, Brenda DeFazio (Tim), and grandchildren, son, Scott Barnes, son, Tim Barnes (Dawn), and children, Tiffany, Matthew, Micah, and daughter, Tela Keistler and children Corey, Mikayla.  Nephew, Chris Clarke (Jill) and niece, Darlene Miklas (Paul). Also, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 am at Northview Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Purple Heart Homes at Donate - Purple Heart Homes, Inc.
