James David Burchette

Mr. James David Burchette, 76, of Troutman, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Gordon Hospice House. He was born in Wilkes County on August 13, 1935, the son of the late Robert and Bertha Cloer Burchette. He was married to the late Lucille Moose Burchette who preceded him in death on June 26, 2004. James’ favorite scripture was Psalms 23. Left to cherish his memory are a son, James Michael Burchette (Tammy); a daughter, Linda B. Campbell (Bill); a sister, Ruby Lefever; three grandchildren, Matthew Lee Anderson, Timothy David Anderson and wife, Crystal, and Lisa Elaine Levan; two step grandchildren, Amy Campbell Rohe and Gabe Campbell; two great grandchildren, Anna and Elizabeth Anderson; three step great grandchildren, Samantha Rohe, Julia Rohe and Beckham Campbell; and a very special friend and her extended family, Inez Poole. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda B. Anderson; two brothers, Bobby and Glenn Burchette; and a sister, Purnie Burchette. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Troutman Funeral Home with the Revs. J. B. Parker and Joe Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow the service at Iredell Memorial Park in Statesville.
