James Stephen Bost

Mr. James Stephen Bost, 73, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his home.

Jimmy was born March 28, 1946 in Iredell County and was the son of the late James Orin Bost and Willie Ruth Hedrick Bost. He was a graduate of Celeste-Henkel High School and is married to Leslie Lail Bost. He was retired from Commscope, Inc. and Masahista and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He was a volunteer for the West Iredell Fire Department and First Responders for 26 years. Jimmy was a loving father, grandfather, husband and friend.

In addition to his wife, Jimmy is survived by one son, Jamie Ray Bost of Troutman, one daughter, Kimberly B Garris (Steven) of Troutman and two grandchildren, James David “JD” Bost and Stephanie Renee Garris.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Troutman Funeral Home with Dr. Charlie Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 pm. West Iredell Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
