Jacob Elijah Huffman

Jacob Elijah Huffman, 17, of Hiddenite, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Jacob was born January 25, 2008. Parents, Carmen Johnson Huffman and David Bryan Huffman. He was a senior at North Iredell High School and was very active and a Captain in the JROTC. He played varsity football (#72) and was a member of Pisgah Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Forney and Joan Huffman and his maternal great-grandparents, Bud and Jean Bunton.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish Jacob’s memory are his sister, Sierra Bloom Huffman; maternal grandparents, Newell and Brenda Johnson; aunt, Tammy Johnson McRary (Jason) of Granite Falls; cousin, Lola; aunt, Beverly Veals (Scott) of Carolina Beach; cousins, Allison and Bryan; aunt, Carol Sigmon; uncle, Eric Huffman of Fort Mill, SC; special to his heart, Jackie and Linda; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 6 at Pisgah Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Harrold officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with family and friends prior to the service from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Active pallbearers will be JROTC Cadets: C/LTC Isaac Elmore, C/MAJ Alexander Krumroy, C/MAJ Isaiah Cruz Ramos, C/CSM Jose Garcia and NIHS Football Players: Trevor Hobbs, Kaleb Sales, Cal Cary, Pete Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pisgah Methodist Church, 488 Hill Farm Road, Hiddenite, NC 28636, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
