James Blaine "J.B." Stikeleather, Jr., 82, of Troutman, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was born in Iredell County on May 16, 1928 to the late James Blaine Sr. and Metfa Morrison Stikeleather. J.B. was a carpenter who dearly loved his wife, his sons, his daughter and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Catherine Pryor Stikeleather, of Troutman; one son, Charles Richard Stikeleather of Statesville; one daughter, Heather Yvonne (Michael) Fleming of Troutman; two sisters, Rachel Ellis of Stony Point and Laura Faye Little of Woodbridge, Va.; one brother, David Brooks (Ann) Stikeleather of Statesville; and two grandchildren, Austin Stikeleather and Trever Fleming, both of Troutman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, James Harvey and Doyle Wayne Stikeleather; two sisters, Doris McNeely and Dorothy Murph; and two brothers, Archer and Holton Stikeleather. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 Sunday evening, January 2, 2011, at Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating the life of J.B. Stikeleather will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman with the Rev. Matthew Miller, the Rev. Mike Maffucci and Vicar Diane Bowker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Iredell Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 308, Troutman, NC 28166.Visits: 0
