Ina Mae Clontz, 91, of Mooresville, passed away on May 5, 2014. She was born in Wilkes County on June 8, 1922, to the late John and Nancy Johnson. She was a 47 - year cancer survivor.
She is survived by her son, Vernon (Brenda) Clontz of Troutman; 3 grandchildren, Scott (Marty) Clontz, Cheryl (David) Harmon and Stacy (Janet) Clontz; and 6 great-grandchildren, Shane and Dustin Harmon, Will and Brandon Clontz, and Logan and Ashley Sutton; and special family, Harold and Louise Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John, and by her sisters, Elsie Hinson, Ennis Cook and Hallie Robinson; and by her brothers, Russell, Walter, Marvin and Arvil (Monk) Johnson.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, May 8th, at 9:30 - 10:45 a.m., at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am., with Reverends Jamie Hamrick, Christopher Fitzgerald, and Andrea Condor officiating.
