Hoyte Edward Elliott

Hoyte Edward “Eddie” Elliott, 71, of Statesville, NC, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Eddie was born March 20, 1954, to the late Hoyte Arnold Elliott and Nolena Compton Elliott. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School and the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

He dearly loved his family especially spending time with his grandbabies. In his younger days, he loved to travel with his family, water ski, play ball, bird hunt, and he had a love of old cars.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Donna Elliott; sons, Garrett Elliott (Cassie) and Luke Elliott (Emily); daughter, Maddie Elliott; grandchildren, Hazel Elliott, Jackson Elliott, Nora Elliott, and soon to arrive, Maci Elliott; and two special nieces, Allison Jordan and Ginger Keever.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Reep.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Troutman Funeral Home with Rev. David Troutman officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
