Harman David Beavers

Harman David Beavers, 87, of Olin, NC, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026, at his residence.

Born in North Tazewell, Virginia, he was the son of the late Ross Jackson Beavers and Sarah Mae McGuire Beavers.

In addition to his parents, Harman was also preceded in death by one sister, Sarah French “Cass”, and one brother, Litz Beavers. Two other siblings preceded him at their birth.

Harman worked as an Industrial Engineer and later retired from J.C. Penney Warehouse after 28 years of service.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening. He attended Friendship Methodist Church for over 50 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Effie Mae Watts Beavers; sons, Joel Lee Beavers and Brian David Beavers; two brothers, A.R. Beavers and wife Shirley, and Ross J. Beavers, II, “Sonny” and wife, Genevieve and one sister, Margaret McGuire “Marg”.

Harman will be laid to rest during a private service for family at Friendship Methodist Church cemetery.
