Gus Schade

Gustav (Gus) Mansfield Schade, 71, of Troutman, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Fort Pierce, Florida to the late Fredrick Mansfield and Mildred Clyatt Schade. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Marine Corps League. He is survived by his wife, Linda Powell Schade; three daughters, Gail S. Warren (Rusty) of Statesville, Edrie Schade of Oakland, CA and Robin Schade of Troutman; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Bauer of Largo, FL; a brother, Michael Schade of Venice, FL; a niece and two nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Troutman. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
