Mrs. Grace Marie Cortese, 78, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Savignano, Italy on November 1, 1933, the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Nigro Maloney. She is survived by a daughter, Marchella A. Lambert; a son-in-law, Norman Castrenze; a special grandson, Sean McCarter; and two cousins, Angelo and Mickey Nigro. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark McClamrock officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 or to the donor’s choice.
