Gordon Craig Hebbard

Gordon Craig Hebbard, 75, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Gordon Hospice House. Gordon was born on November 22, 1947, to the late Miles R. and Catherine B. (Booth) Hebbard in Binghamton, N.Y.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Hayes.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol (Holbert) Hebbard; sons, Brian (Stacy) Hebbard, Jason (Holly) Hebbard, and daughter Jaime Johnson; grandsons, Aidan Hebbard, Kade Hebbard, Kyler Hebbard, Avery Johnson, Declan Hebbard, Kolton Hebbard, and Miles Johnson; granddaughter Leah Johnson; Sister, Carol Andrews (Phil).

Gordon attended Binghamton North High School, was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30+ years. Gordon enjoyed working with computers since PC's were first introduced, spending time with family, photographing his grandkids, playing video games, fixing things with duct tape, and singing along to The Beach Boys.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Troutman 1st UMC beginning at 2:30 with receiving of friends and family, and service at 3:00 with Pastor Jeffrey Hamrick officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s honor may be made to Hospice of Iredell County.
