Glenda Elliott, 75, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1951, in Iredell County to Glenn and Ruby Money.
Glenda was a devoted mother, Mammaw, Ma’am Ma’am, sister, aunt, and friend. To those who knew her, she was simply Momma, a woman whose love, laughter, and generous spirit touched the lives of so many. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with the people she loved.
Glenda enjoyed cheering on the UNC Tar Heels basketball team, watching the Atlanta Braves, and keeping up with The Bold and the Beautiful. She loved sitting on the porch, watching the birds, and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed shopping, especially for crockpots, and never missed an opportunity to go on a cruise or visit her beloved beach family.
One of the many ways Glenda showed her love was through cooking. She always made enough food to feed a small community, and no one ever left her home hungry. If you did, as Glenda would have said, “it was your own fault!” Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness, where there was always room for one more at the table.
Above all, Glenda will be remembered for her loving heart, her generous nature, her strong devotion to her family, and the countless memories she created with those closest to her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she shared and the traditions she passed down will live on through the generations of her family.
Glenda is survived by her four children: Jennifer (Jimmy) Edwards of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Brandi (Rob) Miller of Mooresville, North Carolina; Ashley (Stephen) Parker of Connelly Springs, North Carolina; and Zach (Kristin) Elliott of Rockwell, North Carolina.
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Landon Edwards; Luke (Hannah) Edwards; Trevor and Taylor Parker; and Hadley and Decker Elliott. She leaves behind her sister, Janet (Mike) Warren, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. She will also be missed by her beloved dog, Maxx, who held a special place in her heart.
Though Glenda’s passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who loved her, her legacy of unconditional love, generosity, family traditions, and unforgettable memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will forever be loved, forever be missed, and never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 5:00 pm at Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bradley Warren officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
