Geraldine Harris Daniel

Geraldine Harris Daniel, 93, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at her home. Born in Iredell County, October 23, 1932, she was the wife of the late David Moore Daniel and the daughter of the late Sherrill Wade and Julia Dollie Campbell Harris. She was a homemaker and attended Houstonville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Keith Daniel of the home and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband of 62 years and her parents, Geraldine was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dwight Harris (Lillian), Clarence Harris (Hazel), and William Coyt Harris (Bettie); and three sisters, Marie Wood (Felix), Louise Swaim (Henry), and Barbara Evans (Herman).

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 am at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Elias Fernandez, Terry Bullin, Dennis Daniel, and Rev. Randy Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Geraldine’s memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County 2347 Simonton Rd Statesville, NC 28625.
