Gerald "Bubba" Blankenship

Gerald “Bubba” Edwin Blakenship, 50, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Cone Health Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC. He was born on January 3, 1974, in Iredell County to Johnny E. Blankenship and the late Doris Harrald Blankenship.

Bubba graduated from Statesville High School and was self-employed in the auto parts industry and was disability retired. He also loved wood working as a hobby.

Along with his father, he is survived by his brother; Larry Blankenship (Sherry); niece, Sarah Blankenship; two nephews, Andrew Blankenship and Ethan Blankenship; and a great niece, Nova Shumake.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel.
